Goodwood Challenge
Apr 6th, 2011 | By Neal | Category: CyclingAll the local, and expecially those keen cyclists from further afield as well, will be readying themselves for the 19th April up on the Hill behind Goodwood House in eager preparation for the Rotary Club Cycle Challenge.
This is a marked out race course through the woods with the start area opposite the Main Racecourse. There are a variety of age bands for different skills and experience, with race fees going toward the Rotary Club charity programme, with the main bands costing £16 if pre-booked (plus a £2 charge if late).
The course will be clearly and fully marked out. It will be marshalled, and there will be support services available.
Having been a success on previous occasions Sunday 19th April promises to be a good test of cycling skills. With pre-course cycling and practice allowed from 08:30, the various band classes will be starting at 10:30 – although later starting band participants will still be allowed to pre-practice , but must ensure that they make way for racers while out on the course.
It promises to be a great day out for fun cyclists as well as those who find such a course with the test it offers, more of a challenge, and if the weather holds up it will make for a good test right across the spectrum – and all for good causes.
Get on down to The Goodwood Cycle Challenge on Sunday 19th April.
